my b/f and i have known each other for years. we just recently started dating we don't have sex but we sleep together he came home from a 10 month tour in iraq and i was the first person he met when he stepped off. we have been together ever since. is it possible to sleep with someone and not have sex? we have the urges we just want to wait to make it special.

If you can resist having sex then I think its sweet to be close to one another, esp. since your time is precious that you have together. Some very strict religous people will tell you not to do it because it is a temptation, but if you are strong in your convictions, what is the harm? It's really the only way you can be intimate since you're not actually having sex. I think it's sweet.

Yes it is possible to sleep together for a long LONG time like a year long.... I should say. My husband was my best friend for a long time then we started dating. He made me wait for a whole year before he gave it up to me and I'm a girl. But because of that he made it so special the day we did go for it. But don't get me wrong we did have our urges like you said. But if you wait for the right moment is better for all the right and wrong reasons.
My husband was a virgin and he wanted the perfect girl to lose his virginity to. I'm so glad he picked me. We are married now and have a 5yr old son who will be 6 this coming up month.

sure it's possible to sleep with someone and not have sex with them. you have to have almost incredible self control. if your reasons for abstaining from sex are based on your faith or religious beliefs and you both want to please your God by maintaining your virtue, then that's great. Also, by maintaining your purity by not having sex before marriage, you are demonstrating to each other that you have deep respect for one another and that is a good indicator that you should have a good, mutually beneficial relationship. i must ask you though, did you two abstain from having sex with others? even if you did have sexual relations with others, it's still a good thing that you are abstaining from having sex with each other. i was just curious because you didn't mention that. at any rate, i commend you both for putting that much dedication in your relationship. i wish you both the best

Yes, it is possible to sleep together w/o having sex. However, the longer you do it the harder it's going to be not to give in to your feelings. It's going to be VERY ROUGH the longer you do it. I truly mean MORE POWER TO YOU if you can do it for an extended period of time & I certinallu give you LOTS of credit for being able to do it! Blessings on you both!

That is AWESOME, that you are waiting. Alot of people may say you are an idiot and should see what you are getting before you tie the knot. wait for the perfect time make sure everything is perfect and make sure he knows ur planning on doing it but make sure he loves u u really don't want to lose ur virginity to a person that doesn't even love u

dont put it on a schdule let it happen when it happens but some people say they can make love with someone just by looking at the other person they truly love and desire.

to me sleeping w/some one and having sex with them is very different so as long as u don't take u'r clothes off then u know u'r not having sex!!
