I see it on menus but never known anyone of actually eats it on their pizza. It's always talked about in a jokingly way.

Anyone with a fish phobia certainly won't eat anchovies. There are many people likes this. Many people that like fish won't eat anchovies.
I like anchovies, however I don't like to eat many of them at one sitting, and I only eat them as a condiment. They are very salty. I think they make a nice addition to pizza.
I don't know why people are so grossed out by them. A person will eat sausage at the drop of hat. Sausages are made of out pig guts, blood, and pig by products..., but oh my.. anchovies.. Puhleeeez

I don't really like pizza, it just is a food I hate. I will eat anchovies though. Not on a regular basis, but if I had to I would cause they aren't bad.

I DO; usually just once a year though during the lenten season when I'm having a craving for salt. I love salt and it tastes like your eating salt. Needless to say I also have to drink a lot of liquids for the next two days afterwards!

I enjoy anchovies occasionally, they a fairly salty and tend to overwhelm anything else on the pie. So I guess the key is moderation.

I worked at Pizza Hut for a few years through high school, and a surprisingly large number of people order anchovies. I think they're gross, though.

I bit into one 16 years ago and I'm still mildly traumatized. French people put it on a pizza, hiding under cheese, and told me it was vegetarian. I guess vegetarian means something different to the French.
