I ask because the Mormom faith teaches that if a husband is exceptionally good to his wife, he'll get to rule over a planet of his own - as if he were a god.

And since the earth is so tiny and insignificant against the vastness of the universe... I'm left wondering...

Actually it's MormoN. Even though your question was worded funny, the basis of what you're asking is true. People of the LDS faith do believe that if you live your life worthily (go to the temple, faithful to your wife, family, and church . . . etc.) that you will become like God one day. We also believe that Heavenly Father went through a similar test like we are currently going through and He was successful and has received His exaltation throug His faithfulness.

Forgive me for the copy and past, but I just answered a similar question about 3 minutes ago.

"It is a skewed misconseption of the doctrine of 'Eternal Progression.'

"I believe that if a person proves himself worthy and able in this life, that he will be able to continue to improve and progress throughout eternity. It is taught in a number of places in the scriptures, including the Bible, that those who are worthy will inherit all that God has. I don't think it will be immediate after death, but eventually we can progress to the point we can create worlds of our own and populate them, just as God did with this one. I don't think we'll be limited to just one or 'inherit' it. "

I believe that God too has followed this path. At one point he even died, but like Jesus did, and like we will He was resurrected and is no longer dead

No.
It simply implies that a husband must have to rule over his wife and the whole family. The husband is the head of the family.

Mormons are false religion why do you believe theior false teachings.
