google mapping it, it appears to be close. Curious as to what extent?

go to www.ocfa.org click on emergency information Click on Santiago Incident (on my page, it was written in red) then click on Map of approximate fire area, evacuation areas, and evacuation centers. I was just there and it hasn't been updated in a while, but it is showing the area already affected by that fire.

I thought they had a number that people can call to find out such things. Call a TV station and ask them about this. I heard it a couple of days ago on the national news. It may have been on the Today Show in N.Y. They may have it listed on their web site.

yes, my dad works there, he said the company had to be evacuated. He said that the smoke was super thick. the irvine fire was deliberatly set.

yep. the arson fire on the 241 is in Irvine.
