Besides subways, anyone knows what bus best to get to downtown Manhattan (Liberty Plaza) best for weekdays in the morning?

Where are you starting from?

Don't take the bus. During rush hours street traffic will slow you down to a crawl. The subway would be faster and runs more frequntly.

But if you really want to do it by bus - if you are in Manhattan, the M1 and M6 bus runs down Broadway and stops either in front of the building or a block away.

There is express bus service from Brooklyn but only one within Manhattan.

Depending on how far you are coming from you could walk.
