ive tried using wax and gel but it just goes all floppy

sadly, i know too much about those kind of things
just kidding
but my friends do that kind of stuff sometimes
get a lot of gel or glue, and stick it on your head
get a brush or comb and hold your hair up, get a blowdryer, and then blowdry until the gel/glue dries; add more gel/glue or hairspray
do that for the other side of your head
but it'll depend how long your hair is
if your hair is to your chin, then it should work but the top might kinda bend
if your hair is to your shoulders or more, then yeah, you'll have use a lot more glue/gel/hairspray

As en ex-punk, I know this one! I used to find that crimping it (to make it a little bit coarser) works well if you need to. Then you back-comb it right down to the roots, and use lots and lots of firm-hold hairspray!

in the 80's punks used a solution of sugar.u dissolve the sugar in hot water until it stops desolving then apply to ur hair and dry out.horrible for ur hair health tho.

sometimes it pays to get it cut. that way u have less hair to keep up straight.
otherwise use soap and loads of hairspray... or a hairdresser friend of mine said she knows a punk who uses wood glue!!

lots and lots of gel then u put lots and lots of hair spray then u could put mpuse in there and then u could put some glue in there 2
