It rather depends on the woman. Some will tell you, or cry, or shout about it. Personally I tend to say nothing and go quiet. Not at all helpful for my partner I realise but we can't help the way we are.
If in doubt ask, and listen to the response, as you have already been advised.

There are so many ways that she will show it without actually telling you, some subtle, some not so subtle. If you have to ask I'm guessing that perhaps you've seen some signs already. Now would be a good time to ask if you've done something to offend and apologise for it, just in case the "not so subtle" becomes physical!

Some of the more obvious ways:-
She could hit you over the head with a brick!
Drive over you in her car.
Place broken glass on your side of the bed.
Nail your shoes to the floor.
Paint you favorite car pink.
Buy you a T-Shirt with "I'm A Pig" on it.
Poison your food with rat sack.
Say nothing at all and leave you.

Hard to say. Not all women are the same. She might act somewhat withdrawn from you. She might stop talking to you for a while. She might tell you. She might beat the s*** out of you. If you really want the answer to that question, then just ask her!!! Hope you haven't done anything wrong, but if you did---GOOD LUCK!!

In all likelihood, she will either make a sarcastic remark or ignore you. Usually, when a guy ticks me off, I abruptly end the conversation and disengage from him. Watch her body language, too. Furrowing of the brows and narrowing of the eyes are good clues. But the best indicator is leaving you to go to talk to someone else.

Pursing lips, short snappy answers, sarcastic remarks, rolling eyes, sighing a lot, when you touch her she'll abruptly and sharply pull away, she'll be tense, a furrowed brow and narrowed eyes. Oh and she'll be really quiet.
She most likely won't tell you she's mad but say (if you ask) "i'm fine" really short and tensely or sarcasticly say something like "i'm just freaking FANTASTIC" or something.
I don't know why we never admit were mad =P sorry! lol

Ask her, and explain yourself better, you at least have the sensibility to realise that you may of said something hurtful which is a good start to being kinder.

When she turns her back on you in bed?
When there is a tin opener left out for you when you come in from work?
When your dirty clothes have been taken out of the dirty linen basket?
When she keeps popping round to see her mother?
When you are greeted by a deafening wall of silence?
