I'm just taking a general quiz here for my own personal reasons. There are so many reasons to have children, or to not, and I'd like to find out what the consensus of Yahoo answers is? Thanks in advance.

~I thought it would be a wonderful nurturing experience and that I could co-raise a child who would develop into a responsible, creative, ethical human being. Boy, was I delusional. I should have stuck with gerbils.

I'd like to have kids in the future (I might be pregnant now though), simply to experience motherhood and raising my own flesh and blood. Family is something I want when I grow up, I want to experience all that. And besides, kids bring great joy and keep a family close.

i have 2 kids and i had them for different reasons. i was 17 when i had my daughter. she wasnt planned and i was not really old enough to be ready to be a mother, but she was the best thing to happen to me. i loved her so much and even though i had to grow up fast i wouldnt change a thing. so the reason i had her was because i wasnt careful, but that doesnt do her existance justice. i would say the real reason was because god thought i needed her and gave her to me. my 2nd child is my son, me and my boyfriend planned to have him because we were ready to have another child by then. he is also the best thing to happen to me and i dont know what i would do without him. i couldnt live without either of my kids.

I wanted the experience to know what it was like to feel a baby inside of me. I wanted to get the chance to raise him with my ideals through love. I wanted the cuddling and cooing and the simplicity of a child - just his presence. And I wanted to watch him develop - that's an amazing part of parenthood to watch them grow everyday getting smarter and stronger.

Why I want to have kids. I haven't had any yet. I don't know how to explain it. I've just always known I wanted to be a mother. It's something I know I want in my life. Having a family is a dream of mine. I just know it's something I am meant to do. Something God has put me here to do, I guess you could say. It's just something I know.

i thought my husband and i would make great parents. and our house was always too quiet. i was curious to know who would be born to he and I. what little person. what would he or she look like? would he have my husbands calm persona, or my silly sense of humor? i wanted to love a child with every ounce of my being... nurture and care for, and raise a member of our human race.
i love my children!
