Ok, on Creigslist.org I found somone who is selling a PS3 in my area. It is a new never-been-opened 60GB PS3 with a blue-ray remote, 1 extra controller, & 3 games. The person says he has a receipt of the purchase also. All of that for the price of $370...seems resonable? I just can't rely on what he writes, I have to meet him in person to see if this is the real deal though...

Yes, i'm very skeptical about this. I just e-mailed him so I hope he responds. If this was true, I would probably too late anyway. I will keep cautious until I see a picture of the PS3 and his responce to my e-mail. Thanks everyone for your help. I'm trying to get a cheap deal, but some deals ARE just too good to be true...

There is no way he could be selling a 60GB PS3 for that cheap. The 40GB PS3 will cost more than $370 for gods sake!!! But he could be desparate and he could be selling it just to get rid of it and get some of his money back from the console purchase and he could have won the console in a contest or a givaway and he could be just selling the console for cheap just to make some money.

Let's see, lets add up the prices:

60GB PS3- $499
3 PS3 games- $150- $180 dollars
1 Blu-Ray remote- $25 dollars

He would have to be selling all of this for at least $675 or more to even make any money on the sale. I'm not really sure if I would buy it though because it sounds too good of a deal.

I already have a 60GB PS3, but if I were in your position and was looking for that PS3, I would avoid taking the risk and buy it in a store. $375 dollars for a new 60GB PS3, 3 games, and a Bluetooth remote is just too good of a deal to be true.

you won't be able to, the 60GB version has been dropped contained in the united kingdom. The 40gb version is basically as sturdy, it has wireless and so forth and all th gains of the 60gb yet its basically greater cost-effective. do now not hardship approximately dropping 20Gb, its now not something!

Sounds like a good deal, but doublecheck it, may be it's a refurbished one. There is a sticker at the back with a year and a month. Also 60GB has to be CECHA01 model (it's also printed on that sticker).

If its a real deal, he wont mind if you inspect the package first. If it's real anybody would jump on it. You seem to have a healthy skepticism, ask him why he's selling it, if at any time things seem fishy, bow out. No harm done to you, if the deals any good, cheap ps3 for you and my envy. maybe he's a wii fan.
