Jesus and The Buddha: great men who have given us amazing teachings to follow for inner peace and happiness. Read an excellent book called 'Eight Mindful Steps to Happiness' by Henepola Gunaratana. Able to see many, many like-minded teachings of The Buddha and Jesus' teachings, while reading this book.
Jesus and The Buddha both taught not to judge, to walk with patience & compassion, to forgive, to show unconditional love/lovingkindness, not to harm others in thought, word or deed, and more.

I am a Christian because I was baptized to be one, I pray with some power in Jesus' name and I am by nature charitable. I am also a Buddhist because I try to follow the Four Noble Truths. I am not concerned with the embellishments and dogmatism that unnecessarily alienate the two disciplines. But Christ taught a religion. The Buddha taught a philosophy of life.

HELLO...
I'm a Christian who believes in reincarnation.
When you assume that ALL Christian believe this, or that ALL Christians believe that, you make an *** of yourself.
BTW:
It wasn't Jesus who split the "ocean" (it was actually the Red Sea), or who turned Aaron's staff into a serpent. It was Moses.
Yet again you display your complete ignorance of Biblical scripture.

well...no. there is actually a lot more reliable evidence on the writings of Jesus than Buddha. yeah, but you ask of a key point of the Christian religion: it is very true that by faith that we believe. even if there were no evidence on Earth of God, we would still believe - simply because we know it is true in our hearts. i know it doesnt sound logical to atheists, but...it is hard to explain you know? lol...if you ever become a Christian, you will know the joy and assurance we have in our hearts. it is NOT natural, in fact very supernatural.

He seemed jolly enough but he might have wanted to lay off the sushi and do a few more rounds of Tai Chi to lose a few of those unsightly chins.

This just reads like so much more Psycho-babble from still another Christian-Basher.
Why not use any talents you might have to do something constructive?

I believe Budda was a wise man, Christ is the Messiah. Christ is the son of the most Holy God. That is what Christians believe right? Therefore, I do not worship Budda. Thank you and good night.

Budda was a man, and I am sure that he meant well, but I pray for his disciples, lest they end up in hell.
