Ok, so I know I'm a little old at 28 years to be figuring out how to make Jello right, but the twice other times I made it, it didn't turn out. It was either too jelly but not jello like or too watery. Next up, figuring out how to get the fruit in there. Yay! I did it!

Congratulations on finally mastering jello. Make sure when you do get adventurous and add fruit, do not add pineapple or kiwi..your jello won't set.

ongratulations,
now that you want to add fruit just wait until the jello is just starting to get wiggly then take it out stir in your fruit, do not add fresh pineapple it wont set up but if you add canned pineapple junks or crushed pinapple it will set up.
try a variety of fruits i have made it with apples and celery and
crushed pineapple.
celery grated carrots and crushed pineapples in lemon or lime jello
try also putting about a cup of apple sauce and a teaspoon and a half of cinnamon in your jellow while stirring it up .
also you can make whipped jello by folding in whipped topping into your jello when it gets about half set up . you can use the frozen whipped topping in yoru refrigerator freezer section just let it thaw first and then just eitgher fold it in or take a electric mixer and beat ti together with your half set up jello. Keep experimenting and good luck make sure you are measuring your water correctly then your jello will come out good every time.

Good job!

How to get the fruit in the mixture:

Set it for about half or 3/4 the time it's needed to set to become actual Jell-O. Then take it out of the fridge, put the fruit in, and then put it back in, refrigerating it for 30 more minutes than needed.

Good luck! I hope it turns out delicious.

woo hoo!

Cooking is fun ain't it?

Some other next steps for simple cooking:

Ramen, box mac and cheese.

No bake cookies.

Tube biscuits and other pastries.

Rice krispie treats (try other cereals for a bit of adventure)

Try any pudding mix (small box, pie filling directions) mixed with 2 blocks of softened cream cheese, poured into a graham crust, for a no-bake cheesecake that will work for any dining experience from a potluck to a simple family dessert to a fancy dinner party. A fav this time of year is Jello brand PUMPKIN spice flavor pudding. It is to die for.

No offense but at this age, you might want to really try to bone up on your skills. Cooking is really important unless you can pay a chef.

Congratulations! You must feel so accomplished after all those failures :) When you've mastered getting the fruit in the Jell-o, try this recipe. It's time consuming but oh so yummy.

To get the fruit in there all you have to do is add it to the mixture once it's cooled a bit! It's yum!
