I have to get a root canal and I'm terrified.?

Will it hurt? I know I'm so wussy, but I have a morbid fear of the dentist in the first place and I'm really, really scared to get a root canal.

They are not that terrible. Your jaw is numbed during the procedure and the nerve is probably dead, which is why you are having it removed.

See if the dentist will give you one of those happy pills first if you are really edgy about it.

it's scary when you try to imagine what you don't know, but there's nothing to be afraid of. will it hurt? No, i don't remember any pain, even the needle. it just takes a bit longer than when your just getting a regular filling.
