Anyone with true medically diagnosed migraines know how bad it really is. Once you actually have the migraine many things can make it seem worse, candy won't help!
The weather change can trigger migraines. My husband & I both have had them this last week. Usually just before the actual rain. We are in Arkansas, as you can see it's been very wet and colder than normal here. There are many things that will trigger a magraine, here is a list of some of them.
Migraines may be triggered by food, stress, and changes in your daily routine or environment.
From the migraine specialists!

The most common migraine triggers are:
Stress (either during a stressful time or right after stress subsides).
Menstrual cycle in women.
Too much or too little sleep.
Fasting or skipping meals.
Changes in barometric pressure and weather.
Bright light or reflected sunlight.
Foods such as chocolate.
Excessive caffeine or caffeine withdrawal.
Smoking or being around someone who smokes.
Other migraine triggers include:
Strong emotions, such as depression or anxiety.
Physical exercise.
Alcohol, such as red wine and port.
Aspartame, an artificial sweetener that is found in diet sodas, light yogurts, and other sugar-free foods.
Monosodium glutamate (MSG), a seasoning that is often found in Chinese food, meats, and other foods.
Nitrates, which are found in cured meats such as hot dogs, bacon, and cold cuts.
Tyramines, which are found in pickled or marinated foods, aged cheeses, and yeast.
Birth control pills and hormone therapy.
Certain medications, especially those that dilate blood vessels.
Overuse of headache pain medications, leading to rebound headaches.
Bright lights, glare, reflected sunlight, or other intense visual stimuli.
Odors such as perfume, paint, dust, and certain flowers.

I am so sorry. I had one today. I managed to hold it off and not vomit. I wound up going to the neurologist over a year ago and they put me on Topomax and they stopped. I switched Dr.'s when the old one moved and they stopped it because they said it was causing severe cases of Emergency Glaucoma stuff. I quit taking things in May. I had my first one today since I stopped taking the meds.
Use to be the wierd lights and not being able to see for me, then the eye pain, then the massive head squeezing and after vommitting, I would just have a headache that I could handle. Those stopped in the 90's.
I began in the last almost 2 years to have just Ocular migraines where I couldn't see for almost 40 minutes up to 4 times a week. That is when I was put on Topomax.
They have other things. I was taking it as a preventative at the time. It worked. I didn't want to lose my eyesight so I went on something else that totally messed up my digestion track and she put me on something else.
Today I had the viusual disturbances and then the HUMUNGOUS headache. I took a shower and leaned my head back into the hot water, and that really helped me for a while, then it came back worse. I tried to take 3 asprins, but that really didn't help either. I just prayed and laid down in the recliner chair and drank some 7 UP and it actually started to leave about 2 hours later.
They say it could be caused by anything. I wound up getting a allergy test to foods and found out that I am allergic to wheat, soy, pears, flaxsees, etc. I did eat Wheat yesterday and today I had a whole grain bread. It could have been that. If you are on Birth Control, they say that could do it too. It sounds like it is the medications you have been taking. You should call your doctor. Tell them what has been happening. to you and you think it might be the medication and what can you do since the Excedrine is not helping. In the meantime, I will pray for yours to go away like mine finally did. I wish you great health.

Yes, go to a quiet darkened room, cold cloth for your forehead and your favorite pain reliever. That is a classic migraine.

I have the same thing, everything makes it worse, glasses, sunlight, noise. I was taking percocet but it didn't help much. then I stopped drinking sodas and tea, anything with caffeine and only drink bottled water, havent had a migraine in 3 months now. I don't know why that worked for me or if it will work for you , but having no caffeine did the trick for me, hope it help, good luck!

Every body is different. It took my Mom 7 tries before she found the right med for her migraines. You have to try them all, until you find the right one for you.
Try Topamax, Imitrex, Fioricet (or Fiorinal,) Midrin, Maxalt, Relpax, Zomig, Frova, Acular, Axert, Anaprox, Orudis, and Sedapep. Find a doctor you like and trust. Take this list with you. Do it tomorrow! Good luck ASAP. -LL

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

Try to get back into your doctor. You might want to think about seeing a neurologist to check for something else that could of caused that cyst. There can be other things lying beneath the surface. It isn't really THAT likely but it's always good to be careful.
Also, you could be having some type of side affect or allergic reaction to the hydrocodone you were taking.

You need to see a doctor that specializes in headaches. Or get a referral to a migraine clinic in a hospital.
I don't think you can treat it yourself.

you need to go to the doctor they can give you a pill you can take every day. I take relpax but that works if you take it at the first sign of a migraine and they do work for me.

stress can always cause bad reactions. a daily dose of vita A with flaxseed oil capsules and wheatgerm should help you just fine. if you have to carry asprins for an occassional headache, remember to take vita A with them, it helps to open the blood vessels and alleviate the pressure a lot quicker. how i know, its what i learned to do after suffering with some challenging ones myself.
