they certainly aren't good for you, a plan baked red potato would be "good" for you.

when it comes to health and selecting smart foods, if a food item isn't a help it's a hindrance.

Like John S said, potato chips aren't good for you at all, but Baked Lays are a little better, because they have less fat, not being fried.

Potato chips have been stripped of fiber and nutrients. In a whole potato, you would find:

1. A minimum of 3g of fiber
2. More potassium than a medium banana
3. Iron (in the skin)
4. And more

Enjoy in moderation.

if I were u I would try sun chips they're healthier. If u like chips I would eat a small amount. When I was in school,My teacher told me a gram is a sugar packet and a serving is the amount u put in your hand or your palm hope that helps.

dextrose is in a lot of stuff. they're fine. although not very tasty in my opinion. but they have no trans fat-contrary to what is above my answer. in fact i wouldn't trust some of these answers...looking at them alot of people don't seem to have understood that you're talking about baked, not regular.

No they are just baked and that is why they are less fat. It's the WOW chips and stuff like that that you are thinking of.

potato chips are not good for you, loaded w/ a bunch of preservatives and bad carbs, but they are tasty!

they have mega amounts of trans fat. infact all chips have it. trans fat is the worst fat to eat.
