Different diseases behave differently. For some diseases it is important to drink a lot of water, sometimes to stay hydrated, but sometimes it has an effect on the disease.
Other diseases cause you to retain liquid and drinking too much liquid will cause your body tissue to drown in it's own fluid....yikes.
Liquids are also a good way of getting nutrition into your body when you don't feel like eating. So water is not the best option, but soup, fruit juice, milk etc can be great.
Some liquids have medicinal properties. Honey has antibacterial properties (I don't know about the lemon but hot honey and lemon tastes nice). Mint tea is a calmative and can be used with an upset stomach.
I would say, hot honey and lemon, lots of rest and a disney movie (the happy endings always make you get better sooner)

Strep, and a sore throat are very different. Strep may require antibiotics...
Drinking water is important when you are sick so you stay hydrated...your body is already struggling with the illness, why make it struggle for fluids too?

straightforward water also makes me ill. I went through an fairly undesirable bout of morning disease between 8-20 weeks & ought to slightly tolerate some thing. I lost some weight & change into getting migraines. At my 20 week test my healthcare professional stated that my fluid degrees were slightly low. i began ingesting gatorade like mad because it change into between the few issues i ought to drink & keep down. I honestly have on condition that been feeling a lot more suitable suitable, i imagine the failings & low fluid aspect were led to by me being dehydrated.

first have you seen a doctor for a diagnosis ? Secondly your body needs hydration at all times sick or well, but more so when you are ill to prevent dehydration.

being sick causes the body to dehydrate, which means that you need more fluids to help you rehydrate so your immune system can fight off the viruses, etc.
