I got a mixed review on the net. Some say they are very good some say they are not that good. Are there better speakers for the same price tannoys are sold?

Tannoy has been around for a long time, and with
the right gear, I'm sure they will sound fantastic for
their respective price. For the price you're looking
at, you might also consider Athena and Wharfedale.

Reviews don't mean anything. There are not two people alive who have exactly the same preference of loudspeaker sound.We all hear differently.The only way to buy the speakers that are right for you is to listen to a selection at a reputable store and be blindfolded or eyes tightly closed so that you do not know which brand and model of loudspeakers are playing music when they are switched from one set of speakers to another. The ones you like may be the ones that you would never pick, if you could see them while they are reproducing music.

he is right .what speaker may sound good to u may not sound good to me .choosing a good speaker can be frusterrating at times. i myself highly reccomend the athena F2.2 i have a pair and i love them . rule of thumb your speakers will ONLY SOUND AS GOOD AS THE THE EQUIPMENT THAT IS USED.
