Why do u people car how i type?

Why does it bother u peopl SO much daht i typ incorrectly?
I am not ignorant or a MORON or anything like that.

The rules of spelling and grammar make communication possible. Maybe you just type in internet shorthand. If so, the people you communicate with use the same shorthand, IMO.

While I can filter through the mispellings and slang, I find it annoying. I give a pass to people who don't speak English as a first language, or people who really don't know how to spell. But I usually ignore people who intentionally misspell words.

You ARE ignorant, look up the word. You aren't a moron (look the word up), however, but not very bright if you don't understand why people dis you for writing the way you do. At least if we spend our time trying to figure out what the hell you are talking about we can then, at least, take pleasure in telling you how stupid you appear by posting questions such as this. I agree with "vle045" : "This isn't text messaging. If you want people to answer questions for you, they have to be able to read it. If you don't want people to think you are a moron, do not present yourself as one."

Many times I would like to help someone but the spelling is so bad that I don't understand exactly what he or she want to know with his or her question.

My first language is French and I make sure that when I write, in French and in English, there is as little spelling and typing mistakes as possible out of respect for the people reading what I wrote and also to prevent misunderstanding.

I do not "text message" so I'm not familiar with the lingo. I find it frustrating having to concentrate to guess all those abbreviations when I simply want to help someone by answering their question.

It's a matter of being polite and respectful. Since we are going through the effort of answering your question/trying to be helpful to you, the least you can do is communicate your thoughts in a coherant way. It appears lazy when someone's typing is full of such glaring spelling and grammar mistakes.

Because you are smart enough to write correctly, but choose to write incorrectly. Which I think is really dumb, because there is other people that truly have a spelling problem, and dont know how to write/ type right, and you are over here skilled in both and write childish.

well i guess i don't really care how other people type unless they are making fun of other people for being stupid or not smart. i mean, when i text people or send messages to friends i use short hand too so i can't criticize how others type! as long as you don't type like that in a business letter or something professional, everyone else can just buzz off about it!

It's probably not how you type. Your spelling, grammar and "shorthand" is annoying.

People who are unable to spell or use good grammar make it hard for the reader to read or understand what is being written.

Pay more attention to grammar and use spell-check. Use the "preview" feature to make sure you don't have mispelled words, etc.

It will be easier on you and on the reader.
