It sounds like either the egr valve may be sticking open or there is a problem with the injectors, possibily the high pressure pump.
if the egr valve sticks open it trys to recirculate too much of the exhaust gases and restricts the engine as the revs get higher.
One of the injectors may be faulty and leaking, this causes a pressure drop in the fuel rail and then because the of the pressure drop the other cylinders are starved of fuel.
The high pressure pump may be faulty, but this is quite rare, they can break up internally and the metal filings are circulated through out the fuel system, but because the tolerances are so fine on the common rail diesel engines it damages the entire fuel system.
The best way of eliminating the pump is to remove the fuel filter, shake it and then pour the contents in to a glass jar. Place a magnet on the bottom of the jar, if there are metal filings in the bottom with a surface area bigger that an inch the entire fuel system must be replaced.

Have the dealership take that car back and give you another if they cannot fix it! In USA we call that the new Nissan Rogue and all come with a 2.5 liter 4 cyl gasoline engine and CVT transmission. So an Engine management issue causing the car to not run properly I would demand a replacement car to drive and allow them only one more time to fix it properly. Probably just one wire that is loose in a connector somewhere. Start a consumer affairs report give them all the information and Nissan Will send an engineer out to help the dealer locate the problem. Make lot's of noise get the Quashai repaired. They look like great cars.

I work for a Nissan dealer too and we have had no complaints to date of engine running faults. The engine in these cars are of Renault design and have been known to fail from 1 problem or another but to date in the Qashqai they have been ok. The engine originally was used in the Micra and the Note and became reliable with youth and early type Micra's suffered pump failure which meant entire diesel componant replacement and egr valves would stick causing engine performance issues, injectors would need to be calibrated and would leak back too but as I said earlier no Qashqai problems to date in our dealership.
Cheers

Nissan Qashqai N-Tec 1.5dci 59plate 70k miles £7500 - bargain or Lemon .... I travelled all the way down from Aberdeen to Wigan to get a specific model of Qashqai in Oct 2014 (14 months ago) in that time my car has had the following repairs: new ignition barrel cost to me £600, Head skimmed, New turbo, replacement Cat (damage by repair centre fixing turbo), New slave cylinder, New clutch, New Flywheel and in generally to resolve other minor issues, in 14 months I am sure I have had my car at best 10 months and feel as if it might be as low as 7, On Dec 26th the engine light came on and it refused to restart, since the 28th its been with AC, on the 28th the AA recovery man advised in minutes it was a compression issue down one cylinder and because of recent work would need to go in get stripped to decide seriousness, I finally get a result when told today that the engine is terminal and needs a replacement, also got a video effectively cylinder 2 injector fail killed engine

I have a problem with my Nissan Qashqai 1.5 pure drive 2011 had this for 3 years with no problems 55,000 miles serviced every 6 months. The engine management (amber) light keeps coming on 2 weeks ago I had a red engine management light,( reset by AA ) the car was bouncing like a kangaroo - fault said injector 1 and 2, I had the injectors tested they came back as perfect, I also have excessive engine noise sounds like the old diesel engines checked the pump for metal particles this was clean about to have the timing belt changed the car drives as if you are going over a bumpy road. Issue not resolved where do I go from here as the fault it records only show s the injectors
