Is there a reason most natural blondes have fine, straight hair?

I know not all do, but the majority of natural blondes seem to have very fine, silky, and almost always straight hair. I've only seen a couple natural curly blondes. Is there a reason?

Probably a simple matter of genetics, i.e. most Northern Europeans tend towards having blond, straight hair. Nothing more complicated about it.

Think about it. The further south you travel in Europe the more naturally curly hair you'll see until you get to Africa where everyone has naturally curly hair. Curly hair is a dominant gene, straight hair is recessive. So the more interactions (intermarriage, conquests - both ways, etc.) with Africans the more curly-haired people you'll find.
Why do you find Scandinavians with dark, curly hair? Some French Huguenots fleeing religious persecution in France emigrated to Scandinavia around 1685. And brought with them their dark hair, some naturally curly.
