I don't know that I could or would inform on anyone, however, I would like to think I might be able to get them to turn themselves in. So many things happen in an instant and you know the person would, in all probability, never do such a thing again but...High on my list of those I might turn in are:

Pre-Meditated Murder
Manslaughter
Rape
Hit & Run
Armed Robbery
Assault With or Without a Deadly Weapon
Arson

I don't think I'd turn them in at all for something petty unless it was ongoing...then I'd have to consider doing something.

Depends on how bad off the person is. If they learned from their mistake without law intervention than let it go. If they are continuing to partake in illegal activities, TURN THEM IN. Its the right thing to do, first give them the chance to correct their behavior on their own. But if they keep do wrong to themselves and others, get the police involved.

I would. PERIOD. If the crime was detrimental to someones health or livelihood, or basically if it was a violent crime I would.
I come from a crime free family but if one of them committed a violent crime I knew about I'd first try to convince them to turn them-self in, and if not I would have no other conscientious choice.
If it were a matter of tax evasion, a five fingered candy bar, or even a little grow op....I'd let them be, but also express my displeasure in person.
I'm outspoken, and have very (non-christian) morals, so I try to abide by every *ethical* law.
PEACE.

Depends.
I won't call 911 every time my stepson fails to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.
I would turn in my own mother, though, for a violent crime.

If it was Murder, Yes, But otherwise No. I would strongly work to have them turn themselves in or go with me to the Police Station.
