No, they haven't and they probably shouldn't. It would put too much emphasis on qualifying, and there would be more wrecks during quals from drivers trying too hard to get the extra points.
Not to mention, like somebody else said, starting the race with cars in qualifying set up in the front of the pack would cause a whole bunch of problems.

Yes, they should. If they were to give out points for pole positions, you might have more drivers going into qualifying with the race set-up, instead of a qualifying setup.

I think it would tighten up the field, and make for a more exciting race.

no but i think they should receive 5 or 10 points for a pole. Would make things interesting. we already have guys spread out throughout the field starting the races with qual sets in the impound races. been that way for a long time.

the only income a team useful properties via triumphing the pole, is first determination for pit determination, and that would not substitute in spite of the fact that if qualifying is rained out.. There are not any factors for qualifying.. merely some money that Coors will pay for the pole, and a plaque.. Coors saves somewhat money, if that's rained out..

No. It was discussed a few years back, but with the differences of race set up and qualifying set up it was ill advised. There was a fear that the ones that qualified up front to get qualifying points would cause wrecks by not being able to get out of the way.
