I think an electorate that was unaffected by the religion of the candidates would be much much better than the one we have now.

Religion does not enter into the presidential race. Romney is running for president because he feels that politically he is the best person for the job.
When John Kennedy ran for president, the media were all over the fact that he was catholic, and tried to get religion into the race. But, it didn't work out that way.
We've had a Quaker president! And Quakers are pacifists. We've had presidents who attend church faithfully, along with their bodyguards. No one bats an eye.
Look at Romney's platform, not his religion. And when it's time to vote, vote for the man, not the religion.

I want a president who checks her religion at the door to the Oval Office! Just run the country. I don't need the president telling me what to believe, how to manage my own body, who to love, or anything else. Fund my schools, my roads, and make sure little kids have health insurance and full tummies. That's all I ask.

I'm LDS but there can be bad people in every church including the mormon church. We shouldnt just look at religion but who the person is and how they keep gods commandments and can lead our country for the better. I'm also not a fan of bush

Would Romney be a better president than Bush? Likely. But that's like saying he's a better basketball player than Stephen Hawking.

We haven't had a psycho evangelical president yet. We had a psycho non-practicing Methodist president hyped by a bunch of psycho evangelicals who somehow managed to convince themselves that GW Bush, POD, and evanescence were fellow evangelicals.

I believe the mental disease that you are refering to is Psychosis. Psychosis is a generic psychiatric term for a mental state often described as involving a "loss of contact with reality". Stedman's Medical Dictionary defines psychosis as "a severe mental disorder, with or without organic damage, characterized by derangement of personality and loss of contact with reality and causing deterioration of normal social functioning."
If you are suggesting that George W. Bush is suffering from Psychosis I believe you are mistaken..
