There are plenty of Christians here that know a lot more scientific facts about the moon than you do. What your pops was pointing to is the wonder and splendor of the moon. He is in awe of it as part of the creation of God. His heart sees that. It's kind of sad that you can only see with your mind and not your heart as well. Guess that goes along with thinking you are superior to your parent.

Lol how is that proof? The thing is we can't prove how we exist yet even science can't tell. Science says we came from a singularity but, where did the singularity come from? Same with most religions where did the god come from? We will continue searching and I doubt we will ever find the answer even if science proves it science is always prone to change and religion is never too reliable because it ends up proven wrong. So I'm just going with the who the heck cares option.

I think there are many atheists, not few.

What do you think he meant by that?
What do you think when you look at the moon?
But, you're right. That is pretty simplistic.

Jesus said,"unless you become as a little child, you can not see the Kingdom of God.

Your dad is pretty simple alright. Thank God!
Maybe some day you will be able to over look your superior logic to see how great faith is.

"You are saved by grace through faith. And that, not of your own, It is a gift of God, least anyone should boast."

Your dad has been given something precious. You should be so blessed

Yeah I know what your dad means. For instance how could the moon be all silvery white and nothing else with no life on it. While the earth only a few million miles away is teaming with life, and has snow and water on it.

But if that doesn't make some of us go hmmmmm.... then..

The simplest minds accept the simplest explanations.

What could be simpler than god?

swander57 ... You're an idiot.

If the Earth were a bit closer or a bit farther, either life would not have developed here, or the Gods would have made us to handle the different climate, rather than the one we have.

Sorry but is this another christian attempt at humor?

Please leave the jokes to people who actually know how to make people laugh :o)
