Well, your classes are a little harder...school is a little more serious now. You are probably putting unrealized pressure on yourself. You are more active...mentally. You are constantly changing classrooms, having to adapt to each one. You may need to find a new minimum amount of sleep you need to get through the day until you get used to your new schedule and pressures.

Don't we all...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Everyone is tired during school, including super geniuses like myself. Most people go from bed to school, and therefore there's not a whole lot going on in the body. Eat/ do push ups in the morning, get your blood pumping. If you're respiratory system is up and kicking so will the rest of your body cause you have fresh blood circulating your body. You will be more alert, awake, think clearly. I like energy drinks too, but they are just temporary boosts of energy cause they're all calories and carbs, which give you a lot of energy for short periods of time. So after the high, you crash, which only makes you more tired.

Most kids sleep 8 hours a day but sometimes it takes more than that. Or maybe its because you already know the topics that you are being taught, if thats the case tell the teacher that your not trying to be mean or anything its just I already know this stuff and do you mind if I take a little nap. That should work it worked with me. -basketballboy

If you get plenty of rest AND sleep and you still have the problem, it is probably narcolepsy and/or sleep apnea. If you snore, it is probably sleep apnea. If you become DROWSY and suddenly can not stay awake, it is probably narcolepsy.
Few people are aware of these disorders; many doctors have no clue.
Check with WebMD and other reliable sites, read up on these sleep disorders, see if it matches what you experience, then learn to live with it.

well aside from school being boring as hell it has to do with how your growing up. at the end of middle school you should be growing at your peak. this requires more rest needed for your body. i remember in middle school taking 2 hour naps almost every day.

You're most likely bored with either your teachers or the work you have. Is the work too easy for you? Sometimes if you're not being challenged you lose interest.
