Nothing makes me THINK my religion is the right one .
EVERYTHING makes me KNOW mine is the right one .
[no offence to anyone else]
But I am a Catholic,
I often was inquizzitive about the religion on my own,
I have EXPERIANCED God in my life,
not the power of just "God",
the power of JESUS, And His Father.
I supposed everyone thinks their religion is right,
but,
you have to really really tihnk about it,
and just reading some info abou tit offa wikipedia isnt what i mean.
You have to truly experiance to truly KNOW it .
Thanks !

I was born in a Christian country to fundamentalist Christian parents and I grew up to be a Pagan, so there goes your scenario. Not everyone swallows what they are taught whole. Some people end up thinking other ways.
What makes me think my religion is the right one? More than 25 years of studying different religions, reasoning out their philosophies, and then having some personal religious experiences.

thats the problem, people have wars over religion but at the base they have the same idea...an all powerful god. However the "stories" surrounding each religion is as different as the cultures themselves, and there in lies the problems. 1000's of people have died trying to prove that there "story" is the best but at the center is 1000's of confused people who have no actual proof of anything. This causes the conflict because its human nature to be superior and to strive for power. These problems have only become so blatantly obvious in the passed years as people and technology evolves and there are huge holes in all the "stories"....so realistically its doesn't matter what you believe because essentially its all the same, just adapted to the culture in the area. The point is that you believe and everything else should fall into place.I personally find all the religions interesting and not because i think any are true but just because learning the culture helps eliminate the mystery and fear that cause the wars so long ago.

First of all, I never grew up in any particular kind of religion.
Second, if a person did not believe that theirs was the true religion, they would not be in it now would they. I think mine is the right one, because from what I have studied from the Bible and through prayer, it is what I have found to be true.

Actually... my religion is not the religion I grew up around.
My parents are Christian (very), and I'm Asatru.
Why I feel my religion is true is because I heard the call of the Gods and answered.
And of course I feel my religion is true. If I didn't, why in the world would I stay with it?

Most xians don't comprehend that they're accidental xians or geographical at best.
Most can't get their head around the fact that they'd be espousing the righteousness of Islam if they'd been born in Saudi - they'd be Hindus if born in India and most likely atheists if born anywhere in Scandinavia.

Faith (in theology) is the fact of believing regardless to the fact, it is an inner feeling/thought of having found the truth.
So, nothing can neither prove or create doubt in a person who is filled with such a faith. It is against any rationale.
However, the Bible and the Torah state that, when seing all the beauties of the world, it is obvious that there is a loving God.

What I believe in is a combination of all religions, I took my time researching and "glued together" something which felt right to me, through experiences and conversation. I'd never say that mine is correct however I believe "Truth is what stands the test of experience" and am always open minded to new possibilities.

Because mine isn't the one I grew up into. It was the one I wanted (or the one that chose me). I was born in a Christian country but am a devout believer in Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism).

If one believes in the One G-d, and tries to live by His commandments as a way of life, striving to make the world a better place, one doesn't need religion. Most of the organized religions are too political, this one thinks they are better than that one, that one hates this one, etc. We all should just try and GET ALONG. SIMPLE.
