We all misplace/lose stuff all the time. but its important that u keep the cards in a safe place. IF u use card regularly it should be in your purse/wallet. :)

I do NOT work at one of the three credit bureaus, but I DO work for a major US credit card company.

This will NOT affect your credit in any way. What will show up on your credit report is transfer account. So you will maintain the history part of your account and that positive history (hopefully positive) will continue to factor into your FICO score.

You can see your credit reports free of charge at www.annualcreditreport.com, the only truly free, govt-endorsed website created for the purpose of the free credit bureau report mandate. Don't pull all three at once though, unless you're buying a house or car. Pull 1 report every 4 or 6 mos from a different agency just to stay on top of it.

We heard lots of stories about folks losing cards. Done it myself- several times. Some people stow them in the freezer, but you want want to get a file for the card or cards, or perhaps a real safe.
