Of course you should pick the first one. Why would you stay with the older girl? Her controlling nature and stealing money from you means she is selfish. Do you like to be in a relationship where you are doing the giving all the time? Why would you want to waste more time with her? You already wasted 5 years of your life. I am sure that there is a lot more to discuss about that but just from what you've written I think you should try making it work with the first girl. Good luck.
