Did you all see that? Matt Kensith was doing an interview and Carl comes over and totally crashes it. Then Carl fakes a punch and Matt flinches! I am a huge 99 fan but i thought this was a little uncalled for. The reason why he said he did this was, "beacuase his teamtes never congratualte him on victories and that he was sick of only getting congratulation messages from Jimmy Johnson." What are your thoughts on the situation?

i didn't see it until nascar now on espn2 the day after and of course it was only a little clip, but what do you expect? edwards is frustrated becasue he's not doing sh*it in the chase and so is matt....but carl is still a little kid and acts like one sometimes....he is a product of his own hyped up press and now he's not living up to it......at least matt showed a little class by trying to back away when the cameras were on....but personally i think he should have found him in the parking lot later and kicked his a*ss.....roush will never be the same without mark and they're all suffering from the loss of the best driver and it seems as though mark took the class also when he left. personally i like it because i never liked seeing mark in a ford anyway, but those guys really don't work well together on the track and i think that has alot to do with it too.....he's whining about "no one congratulating him"? when was the last time he did something that deserved a pat on the back? just because he can beat up on those little kids in the busch series doesn't mean he's deserving of some consideration on sunday.....and has anyone ever seen him do the very thing he's whining about? when has he been in victory lane giving matt or mark or greg that pat on the back? respect isn't given, it's earned and he just doesn't get. he should stop reading his own press and fan mail and start getting his act together and showing his teammates a litle respect before he can expect to get any.

Wow, I was there and I did hear something about that, What was up with that, I guess Carl needs to grow up! Jimmie is the man, this all sounds alittle weird!! And this is a grown professional man? Maybe the chase is really getting to these guys this so not like Carl.

Matt should have knocked the hell out of him but then again that's not Matt's way of settling things. Carl was out of place when he did that. I can see where his team mates wouldn't have anything to do with him after all Matt is not the only one that Carl has had words with this year. Seems like he's making it a habit.

I like Edwards a lot, but thought this was totally uncool. Carl has apologized for it though, and I think it does raise an issue for Roush to work out.
That team does need some real leadership, and I don't that's in Matt's make-up and Carl sure didn't act like one based on this incident. Biffle, Jamie Mac and Ragan aren;t leader types either.

I think Jack Roush needs to get control of this situation fast. Matt and Carl have been feuding with each other for months, and it's the team owner's responsibility to nip that in the bud. When Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin had an on-camera tiff, Joe Gibbs came down from D.C. and gave a "coming to God" speech to his drivers to remind them who's boss. Hendrick did the same for Kyle Busch and Casey Mears earlier in the year. Roush seems to be lacking in that leadership.

Something is deeper than just this race and not being close with his teammates. When is the last time you saw another Roush guy talking to Biffle or Busch before he got booted? You don't need to be all buddy buddy like Jimmie and Jeff but you do need to work with these people professionally. Honestly they don't seem all that close as a team since Martin left.

Ok I am going a little off course because I am getting PISSED off but how come no one was pissed at Kevin Harvick and Juan Pablo Montoya when they went after each other! It wasn't even Juan's fault but Kevin was going to kick his @$$ for nothing!! Carl had reasons to go after Matt so I think that everyone needs to just quit saying what an @$$hole Carl is and stuff he isn't no worse than Juan and Kevin so if Carl is an @$$hole then so is Kevin and Juan!!! Also he ain't no worse than Jeff Gordon shoving Matt just because Matt gave him a pay back but no none of them are @$$holes just Carl!!

Carl has shown that he has some growing up to do. It is not anyones responsibility to hold your hand and pass a cookie every time you win a race. On the flinch tho, you must admit, anything happens and Kenseth retaliates, he is the one in trouble with nascar, not the other way around...

A total lack of class. We've seen Carl get mad ofter races before, but this is a whole new low. I think he showed disrespect towards Jack Rousch as well as Matt.

Carl Edwards isn't too bright. He should take care of his business off camera. In a way it's kinda pathetic to the point where I feel sorry for the guy. I bet Jeff Gordon thinks it's funny.
