you should take her to the doctor and let them make sure it is all out.
I don't know much about symptoms and testing for lyme disease but you might have them tell you what you need to know about that also.
I would be wise and see the doctor but dont be overly concerned, we recently took a big old engorged tick off of my cat and she is fine and my nephew wound up with a tick about 2 years ago and he is fine also.

Well if she has a red rash around the tick bite take her to a doctor. Just check her head daily monitor her for flu like symptons. There shouldn't be much to worry about because a majority of deer tick bites don't cause Lyme disease. Also when you remove the tick never wash it down the drain of a sink. They'll crawl back up.

I don't know why everyone is freaking out. I am assuming you all live in the city. When I was young I lived in Upper Michigan and we found ticks on ourselves daily if we were playing outside. Nothing ever happened. I think Lyme's disease starts with a big discolored mark on the skin. I would not worry about this.

Just make sure the entire tick is off and disposed of and monitor it for signs of redness. If you notice red rings develop around the bite you need to get to a doctor as this could be a sign of Lyme Disease.

How do you it was a Deer tick? There are lots of ticks that never attach to deer. I suspect you think your daughter may be at risk to contract Lime's disease. I would Google Lime's disease and check it out. I live in the country and there a lots of ticks but Lime's disease is very rare.

take some tweezers and grab the tick as close to the skin as possible and pull it strait out do not try to burn it off or squeeze its body too hard as this is how it transfers disease causing bacterias. make sure the entire tick comes off and that the small pincher's are not still in your daughters scalp.

GET HER TO A DOCTOR DON'T DEEDLE AROUND ONLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ticks are poisonous, surprised, you should be. Ticks secrete a paralyzing agent that has effects very similar to, i believe it was van garrets disease, also, they carry lime disease, rocky mountain fever and a host of other germs
