i need a good crate training schedule for my new labradoodle, which i realize is not a real breed but i still want one. I will be getting one soon and am gathering info so i can start out right (It's my first dog.) the thing i'm most concerned about is potty training. i plan to crate train, but i need a schedule b/c i go to school and my parents work. help!!!!!!!!!

Your breeder should be able to tell you the pups schedule now and see if it is something you can carry over to work for you.

You should plan your puppys' feeding schedule around your schedule. When you feed the puppy you need to have them out within the hour so they can potty outside. That gives them the best situation for success. Also, dont give the puppy access to water after you put them in the crate...and even for an hour before you put it in there. Dont leave for too long if you can help it, and if you cant you should see if you can arrange for somebody to come let the puppy out.

first thing in the am. 5-10 minutes after eating. after any playtime. first thing after you come home from school after playtime, after mealtime, after playtime and before lights out
