well you would first have to understand what real love is and its attributes and then you can compile a list of the opposites of everything love is...Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. so now break that down and find the opposites and there you have your answer

Allot of people are saying 'indifference' which isn't true. Indifference is the *lack* of love and emotion, the *opposite* is hatred.
Love and hatred are the two opposite/polarized emotions, apathy/indifference is the middle ground between them. not the opposite.

I have to say that Don H is right here. Hate and love are actually very closely related. both require strong passionate feelings towards a person, be them good or bad. If a person cannot love it is because of fear. Fear of rejection, fear of the unknown or maybe fear of letting themselves be vulnerable and not being loved back. Once all fear is gone from you there is nothing left to fill you but love.

I believe "HATE" IS THE OPPOSITE OF LOVE.
IT is so Sad to Hate, Because God says when we Hate our Brother, we are the same as a Murderer!
