If your dog does fine on pork just remember to freeze it first.
Personally I don't feed cooked bones. They splinter and cause a lot of problems in dogs. Raw bones can also but the risk is a lot greater with the cooked ones because they are more brittle.
I am giving you a link to a site where a lady gave her dog a raw bone and it ended up causing a blockage in her dog and her dog almost died. For me the risk to my dog is too much and there are plenty of other treats I can give her that she enjoys.

If it was a raw bone from the pet store's freezer, there should be no problems. They don't splinter into sharp fragments easily and your dog can digest raw, uncooked bone. If, however, it was cooked or sterilized or smoked, (anything that's shelf-stable instead of in the freezer) then you should worry about blockages, perforations in your dog's digestive tract, etc. Keep a close eye on the dog's bowel movements. If they seem unusual, you notice any blood, straining, etc., a quick trip to the vet is warranted. The safest kind of bone is a raw bone with no sharp edges. There are tons of products in your pet store that are not safe for your dog. Pet toys, bones, etc are entirely unregulated and I will not allow my dogs to chew on most items found in a pet store. For example: Rawhide bones are chemically bleached and can pose a choking hazard because they break off in large pieces, they are also highly indigestible and have been known to cause digestive blockages if consumed regularly. Greenies are also potentially choking and digestive obstruction hazards. My vet advises all clients never to use them because he's had to surgically remove them from several dogs' stomachs. I would look for safer chew toys for your dog in the future. Butcher shops will sell you raw bones with meat clinging to them inexpensively- they are great for your dog's teeth and very safe. Bully Sticks, Flossies, beef tendons, and deer antlers are other choices that are much safer than the items sold by most pet stores.

A lot of dogs can't handle how greasy pork is. Some do just fine on it, though. You shouldn't feed your dog a cooked bone from any animal. To kill any bacteria, you should freeze the raw bones and give them to your dog.

Nothing wrong with that, if your dog likes it! Although it should not be too cooked, and a big dog. Reason is that a small dog with a very cook bone will chew it in smaller pieces and it might stay in his throat, endanger the pet, to even die. You get raw beef bones at your butcher,"cheap", and he'll enjoy it for a long while!

Dogs have been eating bones for eons. Yes, it's ok. Go ahead and thumbs-down me little dumb asses. I have had dogs for 40 years and they have all eaten chicken (gasp!) and pork bones and all have lived at least 12 years.
