Looking at the rest of the photos on your photo stream (by the way the shot of the picket fence and sky is very good) i would suggest you look at the composition of the photos and maybe centering them a bit better, also the shadows detract from the actual image on a few of them and you need to be careful of the reflections (the shot of the metal wall and studs would have been outstanding if not for the reflection of your hands on them)

Over all looks great, just be mindful of lighting and centering your media.

You're off to a good start. Thank you for sharing your pictures. I like all of them. I am not a professional, and so what I am saying is objective and my own opinion... I appreciate you being open to it - that will only guarantee you'll get better and better.

Picture #1 - with the spider - There is alot of open space... perhaps limit that. Not sure - it's a great picture.

Picture #2 - the black and white with the sun. Very nice. I like the angle. Perhaps zoon in more on your focal point which is the sun and the tree (right?). I like it as it is though. Nice eye

Picture #3 - the cat. I would focus so the picture is just on the cats face, and/or eliminate some of the open space on the ground. Again, you have a nice eye.

Good Luck in your photography class. Remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and photography is a form of art - you can learn techniques, but when you are behind the lens it is through your eyes and your point of view.

I think they're pretty good. Perhaps try to see things in a different way than everyone else. Try taking pictures of unattractive or obscure things in a new way, and making them look beautiful.

It's easy to make a kitten look cute, but the real trick would be photographing something society would view as ugly, and giving it a new perspective. This will help you really develop an eye for photography.

first one, you should have had the spider go down a tiny bit and to the right a tiny bit... very good picture

second pic, move the picture a little higher or a little higher, the house on the bottom right is very distracting

could have zoomed out a little if u wanted to... its pretty good though...

looks like you know the rule of thirds =D good job.... lots of people don't know that and suck at taking pics

keep up the good work

here is a pretty good website with tips =D

for the spider pic- you should avoid photographing during lighting like that- high noon bright sunlight creates too much contrast and it just doesnt look as good. the light on the cat is good because it appears to be a cloudy day, which is like having a giant soft box in the sky. try to avoid unnecessary object in your photos- like the top of the house in the photograph with the tree/sun. i would make that one black and white also to make that slight color caste a little less distracting. if you are going to go to school for this stuff they will teach you all of this and more. there are rules in photography -but they are just like all rules, you need to know when and how to break them. good luck and just keep snapping that shutter! :)

I can say in the photo of the kitten... you cut off the ears... so it looks funny. If the ears had been there it would have really cute.

The trees would have been better without leaves... just the skeleton of the trees with the sun shining through...

The spider.... hmmmmmmmmm isn't really very impactful.... I think because of the narrowness of the spider at head on .....

Wow. I think your pictures are beautiful. Really clear and the lighting is always right. I love them...and I'm not a professional or anything, but I don't think you have to change anything. You're going to do fine fitting in the class, and if anything (it'll be miniscule) needs to be improved, the teacher will probably tell you. Looks wonderful from where I am, though. Good job =D.

The great majority of the images have no real quality to them. The pink flower is beautiful, but it has been done over and over, many times before. The pictures of the cats are seem to me to be nothing more than snapshots. The last one that I saw, "Daisy Sky" was actually very good. I wasn't expecting to see something so great. I would like to see it hanging in an office somewhere. Very good.

Make the one right side up, and dont have the sun reflecting like that, and center the cat. Overall they are very good though. They would be fine if they had to stay like that, just a couple of fixes.
