Is acetylsalicyclic acid aspirin ? And does it get rid of stomach cramps ?

Acetylsalicyclic acid is Aspirin. In the U.S., aspirin is a generic name because the Bayer corporation lost their trademark. Aspirin does not help with stomach cramps; in fact, it can cause stomach discomfort. It does not help menstrual cramps.
