A good henna tattoo does get darker. Though there are methods to darken it as well. Henna tattoos work based on body heat. If you have very less body heat then there are chances that they do not go very dark. So you might need additional methods to darken it. Some people have high body heat, for such people irrespective of how long it is kept it comes out dark.

i have had a lot of henna tattoos and they are supposed to peal off. It will slowly start to get a lot darker. If you rub it with eucalyptus oil it will make it darker. Vegetable oil and lemon juice will make it last longer. it will probably last for about 3 weeks because its not professionally done, but it also depends on were the henna tattoo is located. hope this helps

Those temporary tatoos only last a couple hours unless you completely leave it alone. If you get it wet, thats bad. If you dont apply it right, thats bad. If you get it cold, im guessing thats bad. If you get it too hot, it would probably droop... thats bad. If you get an arm waxing, it takes off a layer of skin... thats bad.
(it was a cheap fake tatoo!)
wait... looking at the other peoples posts i dont know what a henna tatoo is....... i feel really stupid

The paste is what stains the design onto your skin - it is supposed to come off.
