No, my first day on the job at the Pentagon, there was a peace demonstration (we were NOT at war) regarding closing down the School of the Americas (at Fort Benning).

It was a very wierd experience for me as I have seen demonstrations on TV, but never been in the middle of one.

Sounds like a homework question to me...and as a former teacher I would say yes,

peace rallies were often held before the fact of war..in the US WW1 and even more so WWII had many people unconvinced of the necessity of war............that's one reason why Pearl Harbor is still a big deal...it was supposed to be proof that we had to go to war, and many say it was a fake...

not unlike the war in Iraq of today.........

I can see a future world without war, where every life is valued and no one needs to kill another human being for God or country...

Yes they do have peace rallies and demonstrations when not at war. Fact is, someone has always been at war for the past 400 years. Only the size of the wars varies.

In all wars of the previous Century, the Quakers have offered food comfort and medical care. I remember they did that in Viet Nam. People called them traitors. But they are simply against war and the suffering it causes. Their pacifism is beyond my comprehenson or ability. But, I admire them.

whilst Clinton tried to bomb Bin encumbered's camps, the Republicans cried 'No Bombs For Monica' and 'Wag The dogs', because of the fact they theory that punishing Clinton for further-marital intercourse became extra considerable than combating terrorism. i'm involved in Reagan's close alliances with Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin encumbered. Do you have any information on that? .

Only when the U.S. is involved in wars. It seems to be ok for other countries to have wars (there were some major wars in the 80's with over a million KIAs each and there were no protests that I remember).

There is never peace, some people are happy hurting and/or killing people, just because they can.
