Jehovah's Witnesses believe the often-changing interpretation of the scriptures as handed down under the authority of their Governing Body.

Therefore they have placed all spiritual authority on people that they trust.

They do not turn to the Holy Spirit, because they do not acknowledge that he exists as such. Therefore they have no direct revelation from God, but only through people.

When the people change their minds about the interpretation of the scripture, the Jehovahs Witnesses call this "new light."

Mainstream Christianity interprets the scripture as breathed by the Holy Spirit, and therefore ask the Holy Spirit to help them understand it.

Anywhere there are people, there are shortcomings.

Well, Jesus said these words because he himself knew that in his second coming, he will not be spotted in one certain location. If Jesus was to come in physical form where he would be visible, where would he go? where would he be?

Therefore, what did Jesus mean when he said these words stated in Matthew 24: 26-27? (verse 27)

"For just as the lightning comes out of eastern parts and shines over to western parts, so the presence of the Son of man will be"---

Jesus' second coming will be seen in all parts of the earth/globe (east, west, south, north)-- by paying attention to the signs he gave in Matthew chapter 24: 1-14 in connection to his Kingship and presence. He will be seen by eyes of understanding... and only a small number of people have actually seen the second coming of Christ.

With all due respect, Ma'am, you may want to read the whole chapter 24 of Matthew.

There are so MANY false teachers TODAY, who are saying, "Lo, here! or lo, there". Jesus said, "let no man deceive you", & that false prophets and false Christs would appear, deceiving MANY. Can't you see this happening at this very hour? These false teachers are preaching another Jesus, not the Messiah, and not the Saviour, who works and none can hinder. They are preaching another Gospel, not the good news, and what did Paul say about those who preach another gospel? Gal 1:8-9, "But though we, or an angel from heaven, PREACH ANY OTHER GOSPEL UNTO YOU than that which we have preached unto you, LET HIM BE ACCURSED. (9) As we said before,so say I now again, If any preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, LET HIM BE ACCURSED".

Whenever anything is repeated within God's word, it is for emphasis; LET HIM BE ACCURSED was repeated for us to beware and take notice.

Some versions of the Bible uses coming others presence in Mat 24:27 .
According to Thayers Greek Dictionary, parousia can mean presence. So in Mat 24, what is being talked about as visible and obvious is the presence of Christ. But of course, we can see the effects of Jesus coming, when Jesus himself destroys the wicked.

Jesus cannot be seen by everybody esp the wicked ones.

1 Timothy 6:13-16) I give you orders that you observe the commandment...until the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ. ...who dwells in unapproachable light, whom not one of men has seen or can see

Can't get any clearer than Revelation 1: 7--that every EYE will see Him. The JWs will respond with "it's talking about eyes of faith", but, honestly, who ever has heard of "eyes of faith" and why the need to corrupt a clear passage by spiritualizing it for no good reason? The Apostle Paul proclaimed that the true Gospel is SIMPLE. Anything that corrupts that simplicity, corrupts the Gospel.

Jehovah's Witnesses understand the bible to teach that at the end of Christ's "presence" (or "[second] coming"), there will be unmistakable evidence to every person on earth that Christ is judging humankind. Of course, that climax of Christ's second presence is preceded by less eventful decades; bible students will recall that the first few decades of Jesus' "first" presence was similarly "less eventful".

The apostle Paul plainly wrote that the enemies of Christianity would NOT be able to "see" Christ at first.

(1 Timothy 6:13-16) I give you orders that you observe the commandment...until the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ. ...who dwells in unapproachable light, whom not one of men has seen or can see.

(Ephesians 1:18) ...the eyes of your heart having been enlightened...

(2 Corinthians 3:16) When there is a turning to Jehovah, the veil is taken away.

The fact that Jesus comes "in the clouds" reminds one of the presence of the sun behind clouds. Anyone can "see" that the sun has risen, even if the sun's outline is not plainly delineated. The effects of the sun can be seen, and any person can discern the other clues indicating the literal presence of the sun above the horizon.

The bible describes something similar with regard to the personal qualities of the Creator.

(Romans 1:19-20) What may be known about God is manifest among them, for God made it manifest to them. For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made

Thus, it seems rather obvious that only those actually LOOKING for the Christ will discern his presence.

Jehovah's Witnesses use their own translation of The Bible called "The New World Translation" , so it's possible that this verse is translated a little differently than other Bible's.
