Not only is cancer not contagious, but it does not continue to grow after death. And no, they definitely do not have to be buried in an air-tight casket. No one, regardless of the cause of death, can be forced to be buried in a sealed casket, that is totally up to the family. Someone with AIDS can be buried in a non-sealing casket and vault, we have no say over that and neither does anyone else except the family. We may never even know the person had a contagious disease, that information is protected by the HIPAA Privacy Act and the hospitals and/or morgue is NOT required to inform us of ANY contagious disease.

Cancer derives from cells. Cells only live on living organisms. Once a person dies, no oxygen gets to the cels, therefore all cells die.
