I am considering adding a pomeranian puppy and a silky terrier puppy to my family of one(me).

Are these breeds going to be able to get along
and what is the best way to introduce them to one another so that they can be, for lack of a better word, "friends"

just toss the puppy in the mix.. supervise the older dog with the pup.. at any aggression make sure you dog knows you dont approve, just a little collar correction and a bad dog should work.. some good dogs when they are getting along and you should be well on your way to best friends.

Firstly, you should get one puppy of either breed.... Train that puppy to be nice and teach it basic commands.... Also try your hardest to get it house trained, also get it it's shots... After you have been with the first puppy for at least 2 months, you can try getting another puppy of the other breed, then your first puppy will be bonded to you and will listen to you when you tell it to be nice to the other puppy. If you did manage to house train it, then it will be a good teacher for your other puppy. In general puppies get along great with each other because they just like to play, they don't care with whom... But getting them some time apart allows them to bond with you seperatley and it will be esier on you to trian one at a time, rather than both at once.

Usually it is not a matter of breed, but rather of individual temperament. It will be helpful that the dogs are young, though, because their social skills and personalities have not totally developed, and they are likely to be playful with each other and learn to get along.

I would introduce them on neutral territory (neither of their homes) under human supervision. Do not provide any treats or toys for them to get possessive over until you see that they are getting along. Praise them when they play together appropriately, and gently correct them if they get rough or grouchy.

To be truthful the only canines that are generally in rescues are Staffies, Rottweilers or German Shepards and according to possibility bull mastiffs and dobermans, so i think of you will have a confusing time attempting to discover those breeds besides particularly the final 2. yet i think of the Beauceron is in all possibility a thank you to flow as they have a brilliant temperament and are conscious of training. Staffies are not shield canines certainly yet for sure, like maximum canines, are protecting of their dwelling house yet they amazing canines as lengthy as they a experienced precise as old behavior may well be confusing to get rid of. Anatolian Shepards and Tibetan mastiffs may well be very confusing to coach and may well be extra aggressive than different breeds, so if it somewhat is your first super dogs i does not pick the two of them. better Swiss Mountain canines are not super at guarding as they do no longer oftentimes see strangers as threats yet on the grounds that they're massive they could be intimidating. Rottweilers and Dobermans are harder to coach than staffies as they may well be quite obdurate i could say yet lower back may well be amazing canines, comparable with the Bull Mastiffs. i do no longer probable be attentive to plenty with reference to the previous couple of yet quite much all of those canines are extra providers to hip dysplasia than smaller breeds because of the fact they're bigger canines with heaver bones. bigger canines additionally are extra providers to getting bloat that's the place the tummy flips if the dogs has exercising as we communicate after ingesting, and bloat calls for surgical operation to restoration the priority or the dogs can die if its no longer taken care of.

The breed is a factor but a small one becuase individual variance is high. Translation: it depends on the dogs, how you introduce them, and how you train them.
