Turn off everything in the area that makes noise and this includes lightbulbs that buzz. If you are scared that it is spirits, get a couple of flashlights and relax because your dog will protect you. Sit quietly for a few minutes and listen to see if you hear any scratching behind the wall that indicates you have a critter stuck in there and call an exterminator. If your dog stops when you shut off the electrical stuff in the area, call an electrician because something is buzzing and your dog hears it and it could be an electrical problem.

Your dog is probably hearing something in the walls or another dog a block away. If it were a spirit, he would not be barking. He would just watch it. Relax, you'll be fine.

Sounds like you have a mouse or a lizard in the wall. Usually if a dog is seeing spirits, he'll just stare, not bark.

Call an exterminator, your dogs ears are so much better than yours. It is hearing something moving in the walls too quiet for you to hear.

there could be a ghost.
one time my mom used to have a dog when i was a baby abnd sometimes it would start to bark derictly at me and when my mom turned around she would she a ghost standing right next to me.
i would recommend moving for your own good.

Well one thing is certain: it is not a ghost! Are there any shadows that are moving? Mine bark when I shine a flashlight in their direction and they move, ie, their shadow moves.

Maybe its hearing things that are outside thats coming from that direction because dogs have really good ears and can hear really good.They can hear something really far.
