... this is assuming you are not already. I have had some women object because of the itchiness - just wondering if that is reason enough to let it go, or if I could still press for it. I really do want to be a gentleman about it...

Great answers - thank you all for your honesty. For those who hinted at sick perversion, I am not necessarily thinking about shaving ALL of the hair off - I do like a little tuft left down there. I just like to, ahem, eat without fear (or hassle) of getting hair stuck in my throat. My ex-wife used to do it for me, and it was a huge turnon.

I never shave, I get a Brazilian wax. Painful at first but get better quickly. Leaves everything very smooth. Shaving is very bad for your skin down there, it gets itchy and leaves pumps.

Some women aren't comfortable with that you shouldn't pressure any woman into it. It has to be a personal decision. Maybe she would at least be willing to trim? that's a good start.

It itches like hell and you get ingrown hair that raises bumps and can cause a rash. Be a gentleman and don't request this.

Have YOU ever gone for a complete shave yourself? Every inch of the body including 'down there'? Till you've shaved there and experienced the result, don't ask anyone else. It should always be voluntary.

Hello, this is just my opinion and it may not be yours. I am saved and I have a problem with promiscuity.

A woman's body is so delicate. It is her decision to do that. No one should control your body that your are a mechanical rebot. Every woman has to have their own identity and preferences.

What do you want? Itchiness is no good. Remember, the marriage bed is undefiled. It is better to marry than to burn. This is something for a husband to say. Just think about this. if you shave, will you still be with your boyfriend? A boyfriend is one thing, but a husband is another? Who will you obey>

What one man likes another man may not!!!

My husband asked me to do this once and I did and it did cause some irritation with red bumps and some irritation. So the next time I did it for him I used ultra sensitive shaving cream and it was fine. It was not a huge deal to me. I would be up front with your request. She will let you know if she wants to or not. GOOD LUCK

It really is a personal preference for the lady. You can tell her what you like but you really can't make her shave. Besides, a "complete" shave makes the lady look a bit prepubescent.

It depends but I would say no, because once you do it, you have to shave all the time. But I guess you have to ask to see.
