Do you like the idea that New York is going to give drivers license to Illegals?

It was voted into law today. It looks just like a legal persons drivers license and can be used to register to vote!!! Some say it will be challenged, but is law as of now!

I think in the light of this, any votes received from New York should be disregarded and other states should not allow people with a New York drivers license to drive on their highways!
That would get New Yorkers attention in a hurry!

St Alin: The differance in this drivers license than the other states that offer them, is that New York put nothing on the drivers license that identifies them as illegal! Several county clerks are suing the govenor because they can't identify them as illegal at voter registration!

Why not just let the whole world vote in US elections then? Why are the people from China, Somalia, and Pakistan any less "deserving" to vote in American elections than illegal immigrants from Mexico and Central America? And if they can all vote, why not extend all of the other benefits?? Come on folks, let's get with it! See, some impoverished folks get to be born in nations connected by land to the biggest nation of bleeding heart liberals that ever existed. They can illegally enter America, never pay taxes, mooch off government benefits for the rest of their lives, have many children, and commit the crimes that Americans don't want to commit - all in relative safety. Tell me, can 20 million+ poor wretches from Africa or Asia do the same thing? How are they supposed to get their reward for breathing air? Billions of people live in poverty and need American welfare. $30 billion for AIDS in Africa isn't going to cut it, and granting amnesty+path to citizenship to tens of millions of illegal-immigrant Mexicans falls short by far. Anyway. I mean, the far-away people are just as entitled to these government benefits as border-hopping foreign nationals, right? I am sure that there are jobs that Americans only sorta want to do that these other poor people would be more than willing to do for $4 an hour - it is just that the geographic realities make it really hard. And let's not forget about the "sweat shop" labor and outsourcing of jobs - if these foreign nationals are indirectly working for America, should they not get things like food stamps, welfare, free primary and secondary education, racist university scholarships, pathways to citizenship (so they can vote Democrat), and free healthcare?

Oh, you didn't know every American already has free health-care? All you have to do is show up at the emergency room of any hospital and they are forced to care for you, citizen or not, whether you can pay or not (and even if what ails you is not an emergency). Everything from the sniffles on up. Sometimes the money-tree owning federal government steps in with medicare/medicaid to repay the hospital, sometimes it does not. But they have to be careful - it seems a lot of hospitals in certain cities are closing down from what the right-wing extremists in charge, with their fancy-pants economics, call "uncompensated cost-overruns" (code for "corporate greed" or something I am sure).

There I go again, off track. Anyway, I calculate that it will only cost America $5x10^13 to provide this new entitlement program for every turd-worlder (per year), roughly $166,000 per American per year. Throw in some UN assistance, and we might be able to drop that down to $165,000. Come on federal government, you keep spending money like FDR/Johnson at a bad idea factory. What, afraid it will destroy America? Since when has that ever been a concern? Get on it! This should be running smoothly by the time the Hildabeast and Captain Sink get back from the trailer park.

That reminds me - what about diversity? There are so many tropical diseases and primitive traditions that America is lacking, and so many languages I do not have to choose from when I call up my representatives to implore them to stop telling me to go away and die quietly - at this rate, it is going to take more than 20 years for America to balkanize. This is unacceptable!

8 other states already offer illegal immigrants licenses.
At least the ones getting licenses are registered into the database with their real ID. They can only get the drivers license if they show a passport. The database is also searched for duplicate entries for that ID

Note that the 9-11 hijackers were not only here legally, they also had at least 35 drivers licenses.
This licensing plan actually closes gaps in the security system instead of opening more.
I am not sure where you get the idea it allows them to vote. They would still need to get onto a voters list. That means they need to be a citizen and not a convicted felon either.

I wonder if any of you are interested in the fact that this law is being pushed by the Homeland Security with the Republicans in control of that department backing it strongly.
The last thing they care about is whether somebody is driving uninsured. They want to know who is inside your country.

This Governor should be recalled for such an INSANE move. Driving is a PRIVILEGE...not a RIGHT and making it OK coz they don't have the guts to enforce the law is just wrong. Might as well open the jails, hand everyone a gun, light up a joint, get your kids some beer and just let the lunatics run free and do what they want. I mean after-all....what's the point...people will do what they darn well feel like anyway. The whole thing makes me sick..........no social security number to vote? Heck I lived in New York and I had to have it to register. I have to show it all the time. I had to have it here and every other darn state I ever lived in. And this will make it so they drive safe? Ya right......a license doesn't make you drive safe or guarentee you'll have insurance. Once again....boils down to enforcement of LAWS these impotent whack jobs won't do. Like LAWS are something illegals pay attention to anyway? They found voter fraud here 1 1/2 YEARS AFTER the election......damage done....not like they pulled everyone out of office and recounted them again. It's a JOKE!!!!

What next? The Dream Act. This is very scary. I wonder how New Yorkers will feel with the massive increase in hit and runs. To do this to get votes is so corrupt, but why am I not surprised? The really scary thing is how many will flow into New York just to be able to vote?

The good news is they will have to stay in New York, as no other state will let them use that license after, what, a week? Thank god states like Florida are not letting anyone renew their licenses without proof of residency or citizenship.

I wouldn't carve this ridiculous law in stone just yet. I think this will be very short lived. People are outraged over this. You would have thought that 9/11 never happened. Muhammad Atta had a driver license from Virginia. The ones responsible for this are drinking mushroom Kool Aid.

Why is American on the fence with this issue? What do you not understand? Illegals cost us money! I work hard enough as it is. The only dependents I want are the ones that I bring into this world after I have been properly married and can properly care for them like a responsible human being. And, now we are granting them licenses...what the f***?

No, not in the least, it in fact only seem to justify and legitimize illegal behavior. Moreover it is a back door way of forcing a North American Union upon us, by diluting the vote of the American Citizens to the point that we can not get a majority behind the deportations that are the only way that we are in fact going to be able to stop said union.

Who said it can be used to register to vote? You're either making things up, or reading nonsense somewhere and believing it.

And FYI, New York isn't the first to do this. In fact, at least 8 other states already allow illegal immigrants to get driver's licenses.
