Oh, the wall will stop them unless they can sprout wings! I live in Oklahoma and our new law began working before it was due to become effective. People who live in states that their legislators pander to illegals need to fax, call and email their legislators and demand they pass a similar law to Oklahoma's. Of course no one is saying that a wall will stop them. However it has been shown with the places where the wall is now that it has slowed down the illegal crossing.
The problem is that what will slow them down is if we enforce the laws we have on the books to fine employers who are hiring these illegals. If the employers start hurting in the pocket book and they fine out that it is costing them just as much in fines as in the lower wages they are paying then maybe they will get the message and stop hiring the illegals.
The countries where they are coming from have their problems with corruption and lack of jobs. However that should not be our problem to resolve. They need to get their act in order and provide jobs and an economy that will support their countryman.

Most people won't stay where they KNOW they aren't wanted. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they went back to their Homelands. They simply went to a place where they feel safe & are more welcomed.
