they will move where the ice is, they give everyone the impression that all the ice will melt, no it won't, remember in winter there is no sun and it gets so cold up there there will be ice believe me, even a 10 degree rise means nothing when temps are normally 40 or more below zero in winter.
and the ice will form later in late summer than now the bears will just hunt then and will thus hunt until winter when the ice freezes. as the nights get longer it will get cold enough it only has to be 32 degrees for ice to form and 31 degrees for it to be solid enough to walk on.
the bears will do just fine. there was a time where there was no ice at all, and the bears did just fine, this was before the global flood dropped all the water vapor in the (tropeshere? or can't remember all the names). water expense is recorded in genesis chap 1.
but even during the medievel warm period they mention if you don't believe in the global flood, it was alot warmer than it is predicted to get and the polar bears obviously did okay as they are still here.

It's not the glaciers (which are on land) that some are concerned about vis a vis polar bears, it is arctic pack ice. But in any event, what will happen is the polar bears (or most of them) will find other sources of food.

They will try and swim for as long as the can but eventually they must drown. Such is their fate if we don't do anything. Polar bears are now an edangered species. If all the ice glaciers melt. They may become extinct!

If (not when) the ice glaciers melt, the animals that live there including the polar bears will either, evolve, migrate, or become extinct.

They will do the same thing they did the last time the ice melted. For crying out loud, there have been numerous ice ages and warming periods. Check out some sites written by climatologists and ignore the pap written by pseudo scientists.......and politicians. The bears have survived for thousands of years, they will continue to do so. If they don't something else will take their place. Can you say wooly mammoth?

Russia
Russia allows hunting by the indigenous people on the basis that it is part of their culture. It signed the Agreement between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the Russian Federation on the Conservation and Management of the Alaska-Chukotka Polar Bear Population in October 2000.
[edit] Denmark
Until 2005, Greenland placed no limit on hunting by indigenous people. In 2005, it imposed a limit of 150 for 2006. It also allowed recreational hunting for the first time.

The problem isn't drowning, it's finding food. The mothers have their babies during the winter and they survive off body fat for the entire time. If their body fat is low, they don't make milk and the babies are not surviving.
