If you are a Physicians Assistant and not a medical assistant for a pediatrician, you would know that to be a pediatrician, regardless of any training you have had as a PA you would need all the prerequisites of the medical schools for which you wish to apply. Then successful MCAT scores. Then you would need to submit applications to the schools which you would like to attend (note the applications cost about $500 per school at last check). Then following successful completion of four years of medical school, and boards, you would need to be accepted by and attend a residency program in Pediatrics. After residency it is considered optimal to be board certified by your certifying board.

I would assume you still have to go through med school and residency. Ask the pediatrician that you work with.

find some place that needs a pediatrician and apply there, you have all the credentials obviously since you have ur masters and ur obviously experienced being an assistant and all.. so theres no reason why you wouldnt get hired as a pediatrician. good luck =)
