This brings up the topic of reincarnation. Have you ever had an affinity since childhood to certain places and cultures that are very different from your own?

I personally don't believe in reincarnation, however i do believe in deja vu. I believe a lot of things happens while the mind sleeps that many scientist can never explain. The unconscious mind dreams every night and you rarely remember what except for the split second, when you walk into a room and you've felt like you've already we there once. Same basic idea, i just have a different philology then you. I believe the brain holds secrets that the human race hasn't yet uncovered. I mean we only use a small percentage of our brain and if we injure the brain, it will rewire its self in ways human could never do.Early doctors believed it to be the work of God, I believe Gods greatest invention was the human brain, as arrogant as that sounds.

As far as the affinity for different cultures goes, that can be the brain also. I mean why are some people born good at art and others at math? The brain is constructed in the womb and that is when ideas like culture and art get deep seeded to be found later. At the same time those moments in the womb are when serial killers seeds are planted, and eventually the human brain will do what its programed to unless societly intervenes, thus causeing a rewiring. I have no idea if this relates to your question :)

I didn't actually visit the location, but I remember once seeing a picture of some people on a city street. It was from the 1950s or somewhere around there. It was a really weird feeling suddenly, like I "missed it" or something, followed by this weird momentary sadness, then the feeling suddenly was gone.

If you believe the bible and I do....."It is given man ONCE to die and after that, the judgment".....reincarnation is a lie. We are not born over and over again. You are probably having memories from books that was read to you as a child or that you read yourself..maybe a movie you saw when really young..or maybe you heard people talking...I always identified with the English because I read some many books about England as a little girl...I almost began to think I was from there,,,but of course it was just association with the characters of the books...

Yes. Absolutely. And accompanied by extreme emotional ambivalence: an intense drawing to, and a repulsion of, the same place. It's an almost indescribable feeling.

I can give you one!
one day we where driving to the Netherlands and came along a windmill! The kids wanted to see how it was working! We where inside the mill and taken pictures of it!Later that day whe came back on the same road! But we couldn't find the mill again so we asked one person, what or where the mill was! He told us that the mill was burned out 100 years ago!Even on the pictures we made! their was just a shadow of the mill!

I've never visited a place that reminded me of a past life because there is no such thing as a past life. In order to believe in such a concept, you have to make many assumptions, such as the existence of eternal souls and a system for recycling them to name a couple, for which there is no evidence.
