any ideas or experiences..i am a practice assisatant. i work 2 jobs. my part time job we are under staffed and constantly new addition to our work load is being added with no compensation. and my full time job is very laid back,but after my trail period i was suppost to recieve a raise and i took some training that should have up my pay. would it be wrong of me to goto human resources or should i talk with my boss directly?

Talk to your boss 1st, but make sure you have reasons why you deserve a raise. If you are going above and beyond the call of duty, then ask questions. If not, don't waste your time.
Either way, be prepared to have an answer or question should he tell you no.

You don't ask for a raise. you negotiate for a raise. And you don't go around your boss.
