hey, those time are odd and frustrating. i guess the best thing to do is just apologize and just talk to him about it.( but not in a negative or passive way, thatll just lose his interest). i think once you tell him wat time he eventually took u, he will probly understand. also find out wat he was doing, and next time tell him schedule( a day before, just to show how organized u are and how this wasnt your fault indirectly)
in the end, i hope that chapter gets closed,
bye. ( asian parents? im indian but still!)

Yes you should feel guilty. Just because your parents don't do what you say for them to do; doesn't make them irresponsible. An irresponsible parent is a person that uses drugs instead of feeding their children, does this describe your dad? An irresponsible parent gambles your rent or your house mortgage away, so now you live on the streets. An irresponsible parent, takes their children to the house of their mistress, or lover and leaves the children to entertain themselves while they go and have private time with their lover. These are some of the things that an irresponsible parent would do. If you have a roof over your head and you have clothes on your back; a method of getting to and from where ever you basically want to go, along with food in your stomach and pocket money to spend on your favorite activities. Then it may not be your father that is acting irresponsibly. As long as you made it to the library before they closed and was able to complete what ever you went there to do, should suffice.

No maybe you can tell your dad you're sorry for saying that, but tell him that it was important that you went when you asked him or within a short time after that. And that when he didnt do it then but waited till it was so long after you asked that it got you upset and you may of replied in a negative way about what he did or didnt do and how it didnt give you a good example of doing what needs to be done when it's needed . or that it makes you feel likie what you need doesnt matter or that you feel like you'r not important enough to take your requests or questions important enough.
That you want to look up to him but find it hard to when he does this to you.
Above all though ensure him that you still love him. but wish he'd understand your view and reasons why you need things.
As you should try to understand something could of come up to keep him away. even though he didnt explain why. or you didnt tell us why.

You asked him three hours ago, and he asked if you were ready three hours later. You should just forget about it because it isn't your fault. Unless this is the only time he was acting irresponsible, then you should feel guilty.

Did your dad say why he was so late in leaving for the library? I'd just forget the whole thing.

Hey hes supposed to be the role model teaching you about resposibility and being somewhere on time.Lecture him about it.He is supposed to be teaching you things and hes not being a very good parent by not doing what he says hes going to do.But then again he may have had more important things going on.

You don't mention what the delay was. Perhaps he had a good reason to not jump when you told him to jump. Kids who are being supported(including the computer you are using to badmouth him with), have no business being disrespectful to the person paying the bills and doing the driving. Learn to spell and apologize to your dad.

Forget about it.. It is okay to express your feelings as long as you do so in a respectful manner.
