so i don't know the whole story, but my guy friend likes this girl chloe he went to high school with (they're in college now). but he just got out of a serious relationship over the summer (it was his first love, his ex broke his heart...). i think that chloe MIGHT like him too but doesn't know for sure. so i asked him about it as a private message on facebook. fyi, his "facebook status" was: i'm a bit sad...i am who i am, love me or leave me
me: are you ok? your status thing popped up in the news feed, you don't sound very happy?
him: Im ok haha, people just piss me off. And a girl is making me sad. lol
me: ohh i'm sorry, if you want to talk about it, you know you can :)
either way i hope things work out for you
him: haha i know thanks, but theres nothing really much to say. Me and her both dont know where we are emotionally right now amd its just making a sad situation.

what do i say to him? what's your advice for 2 people who are in the situation he's facing? thanks

Whenever you get out of a serious relationship, it is always important to take some time and think about what is fundamentally important to you. You should always give yourself time to heal. If you don't focus on you for a while and just enjoy your own company someone will end up being hurt. So tell your friend, chill out, spend some time with himself and allow things to fall into place. Rushing into a relationship will only make the pain disappear temporarily but someone will end up getting hurt in the process. He went to high school with Chloe, they make it to college trust me if it is his, he will have it. He shouldn't be thinking about a relationship right now, just settle down enjoy life. He can be friends with Ms Sneaky Chloe if he wants but he needs to keep it simple, remove all emotions and enjoy his own company. If he can't stand his own company by being alone then he is no use to anyone... Goodluck with all this college romance

broken hearts need time to heal, to encourage him right now to go forth with Chloe who also says she isnt ready, is a mistake in the vast majority of cases at this point. Be a friend to him, yet if your in a relationship be careful, because there is alot or triggers, to upset him and also to begin charge him into a rebound quick experience even with you.

There is a spiritual aspect too, and Keeping Jesus first sooths a broken heart and helps one to know they are truely love=John chapters 3&10 life and Life more abundatly

best wishes with this and prayer to all concerned, David the sweet pea

I would let him be alone for a little while. It might be the best for him. Let him go to you if he wants to talk, but don't push him into it because you may end up pushing him away.
