karate question about a sertain weapon called sai?

ok im in karate im gonna teach some kids in a town called gorgona in panama on saterdays and im gonna order to make a pair of sai (japones weapon) i would like to know the lengths and sizes like width length so if you could plz tell me about that oh and i hope im not demanding to much but what are the lengths of a normal sai betwen the blade(top point) and the middle part and whats is the length between the middle part and the handle(bottom part).... thank you

Sai are not Japanese weapons FYI. They're Okinawan as is karate. Okinawa was conquered by Japan in around the 16th century fairly late into Japan's history and long after the founding of karate.

Sai should not be used by kids unless they are very experienced and responsible. I am sure you know this and are not teaching beginners or young kids how to use Sai. That would be foolish and dangerous.

Sai vary by size as also stated by another poster. They should roughly match the length of your forearm.

El arma que usted refriere se mide a lo largo de su antebrazo y el tamano de su mano. Si intendes conseguir un par, y los enquentras en una tienda, aunque sea de artes marciales, no le quedan bien medidos.

No debes de ensenar un arma como el Sai a estudiantes que no sean adultos. Puede resultar peligro.

Si usted no tienes conocimiento de esa arma, no debes de bregar con ellas alante de el pueblo. Puede dar mal ejemplo.

Si insistes, el tamano debe de ser desde el mango en mano y la punta debe de pasar el codo no mas de dos o tres pulgadas.
